Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm

So I affectionately call this lip "balm" The Gateway Drug to Lipstick. I never wore lipstick before I used this, unless forced to. I hated stuff on my lips, unless it was chapstick type stuff. This balm opened up the lipstick floodgates for me. I can't get enough of the stuff now. Reds, bright pinks, whatever, all thanks to these little guys.

I got this simply because it was supposed to give you a light sheer color, but feel really good on your lips, like chapstick or lip butter. I was hesitant, but I thought, whatever, it's worth a shot. It's about time to grow up and wear color on your lips, like a real woman, Morgan!

So I got the pink shade. LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. I got the coral shade shortly thereafter. It feels awesome, and it gives you a pretty wash of color. Perfect for people who are scared of lipstick, or who don't like the way it feels. It supposedly reacts with your skin's ph within 3-5 minutes. At first it's pretty sheer, but wait! It's supposed to end up customized to everyone's lips, based on your ph. I'm not sure I believe all that hooey, frankly I'm too lazy to search for proof, and I really don't care because I love it. However, I did put it on my lips and take some pics, so you can see for yourself what it looks like on me!

* I'm wearing one of The Husband's shirts. It's a blue & white striped, men's Ralph Lauren button down. He wears them to fancy things, I steal them to wear while I put my makeup on, and occasionally get hollered at for being a thief. Can't stop, won't stop.*

This is my absolute favorite nail polish system! I've been using it for a few years. The system is by Nailene, and they have a SensatioNail website, but you can get it at all kinds of places, like Target. The starter kit comes with everything you need, BUT I have used many different gel polish brands with the SensatioNail LED curing lamp and gel base. In this picture I am using the Sally Hansen gel top coat (as base coat and top coat) and Sally Hansen gel color. They give you a little bottle of stuff to wipe your nails at the end, and Sally Hansen makes some wipes, but it's just rubbing alcohol. I refill the bottle with rubbing alcohol and use paper towels to wipe my nails at the end.

It takes me about 15-20 minutes to do my nails this way. As soon as I am done, I'm talking immediately, it is rock hard dry. I'm not messin! It's a gel polish, so it really is hard and shiny. You can immediately go and do anything; take a shower, style your hair, pull on skinny jeans, etc.  It also lasts a bit longer than traditional nail polish, so that's a plus. I don't scratch up my nails like they tell you to, just because I don't want them messed up too much, so it doesn't stay on as long as it should on me. I don't mind. I actually just peel it right off when I get a chip, usually in one big piece, and quickly redo them all. The whole system comes with me whenever I travel. It's small enough that it doesn't take up much room.

FYI: to all of you more "mature" ladies following me. The (white) french tip manicure, with plastic fake nails, has been out for years. That's why a lot of nail salons are struggling. I see lots of you still doing it though...move along...it's aging you. Either do the natural nail, polished, like most younger people do these days, or go all out Adele and Rihanna style with polished fake nails. Whatever you do, just say no to the tip ;).

My jewelry is also linked above. As I have said before, I tend to invest in my jewelry. So the stuff I am wearing in the video is a bit costly. However, Ippolita is one of the only companies that makes bigger sizes in bangles. So I love it! I get a size 3. Also, my ring is from Etsy, it says that it's and engagement ring, but it was a birthday present from the husband. I love Morganite because of the name obviously, but also because pink is my favorite color. So I just wear it on my right hand. And as I also said in my FAQ, I don't wear my actual engagement ring much. So get used to the gold band.

*Disclaimer: This is an LED light system, NOT a UV system. Make sure when you are at a salon that they aren't drying or curing your nails with UV...that's what ages you and causes cancer. UV dryers are basically tanning beds for your hands. The hands give away age before anything else...don't speed up the process!
